Framing
The project began with framing a wall at the stairwell and creating a closet to enclose the electrical panel. We also framed the support beam at the bottom of the steps in order to blend that into the wall. The ceiling and exterior walls received insulation for climate control and noise purposes.
Electrical
Our electrical team removed all outdated and unused wiring. We then installed ten new recessed (canless) LED lights in the ceiling. Six duplex outlets were installed to improve functionality and convenience. All new breakers and devices were installed, ensuring a safe and fully functional electrical system.
Drywall And Finish Carpentry
We began by installing drywall on the walls and ceiling. Afterward, we applied spackle to all seams, corners, and screw holes, and once the spackle dried, we sanded the surfaces smooth. Next, we installed two interior pre-hung doors—one for the electrical panel closet and another for the storage room beneath the stairwell. We then added all the baseboard and door trim to achieve a polished and complete look.
To finish, we primed the new drywall to ensure a solid base for painting. The walls and ceiling received a coat of flat finish paint, while the trim, baseboards, and doors were painted with a semi-gloss paint to impart a sleek, shiny appearance.
